Not everything we do sits on a shelf. Some of it has wheels.
Supplying thirteen branches across nine provinces takes a fleet of more than two hundred vehicles. That fleet, and the people who run it, do more than move our own stock — they carry freight for our trade customers, and as vehicles reach the end of their service with us they are offered for sale by open tender.
This division brings those activities together in one place, so a customer who wants a truck load moved, or a contractor who wants to bid on a used vehicle, knows where to ask.

As the fleet is renewed, vehicles that have come to the end of their service with BNBM are offered for sale. Office and IT equipment being retired is offered the same way. Everything goes out through an open expression-of-interest process — no private deals, no listed prices, the same information to everyone who registers.
What comes up
Our fleet is run in four classes — delivery trucks, forklifts, administration vehicles and manager vehicles. Units from any of them come up for disposal as they are replaced, along with retired office and IT equipment including computers.

BNBM PNG is a subsidiary of a state-owned group, and every asset leaving the company already goes through an internal disposal approval before it can be sold. Publishing the result openly is the other half of that: the same information, to everyone, at the same time.
The things every vehicle in PNG has to have.
Keeping more than two hundred vehicles on the road across nine provinces means we buy bulbs, wipers, filters, fluids and safety gear constantly. We carry the same items for customers, at the branch nearest their yard.
Wear items
Brake, indicator, headlight and number-plate bulbs; wiper blades; fuses and fuse kits. Our own standard replaces bulbs every six months or forty thousand kilometres and wipers every six months — so we know what moves.
Fluids and filters
Engine oil, brake fluid, coolant and washer fluid, and the filters that go with a service. These are the four levels our drivers check before every trip.
Automotive rangeCompliance gear
Fire extinguisher, first aid kit, warning triangle and a spare bulb set. PNG road rules require them and our own fleet standard mandates them — every commercial vehicle in the country needs the same kit.
Contractors running their own utes and trucks are already buying cement, steel and timber from us. The parts that keep those vehicles moving are the same purchase, from the same branch, on the same account.

BranchesTo be confirmed before this page goes public: our own vehicle policy (Vehicle Use & Management Standard V1.0, clause 9.1.1) requires compulsory third-party cover (CTP) on every vehicle and comprehensive cover on trucks and admin vehicles. Neither insures a customer's goods while we are carrying them — that needs a goods-in-transit or carrier's liability policy, which the standard does not mention. Until that cover and the matching transport operator licensing are confirmed, this page must not offer haulage to the general public.
What we already do in-house, offered to trade partners.
We move staff between nine provinces and bring in suppliers and technicians, so our administration team books flights and prepares visa paperwork every week.
Trade account customers sometimes ask whether we can help with the same paperwork. Where we can, we do — as part of the trading relationship, through the account manager you already deal with, not as a separate business.
What that means in practice: we can tell you what a supplier visit needs, help assemble a document pack, and point you at the right office. Ask your account manager.
To be confirmed before this page goes public: selling flights to the public normally requires an agency agreement with the airline or IATA accreditation — a corporate travel account is not the same thing. Charging a fee to prepare visa applications normally requires a registered migration agent licence. Neither is in place today, so this section is deliberately written as help we extend to existing trade partners, not as a service we sell. It needs legal sign-off before it goes public in any form.
